Grade 1 Reading Recovery Student katelyn 1Every child wants to learn to read and write in Grade One. Yet, for the lowest achieving students, experience and research show that they are unlikely to become average readers without intensive teaching.

Reading Recovery Canada is a nonprofit charitable organization that works collaboratively with education communities across Canada providing specialized training for Reading Recovery teachers.

Reading Recovery Canada relies on the generosity of individual donors, Corporate partners, Community partners as well as Foundations to continue teaching kids to read and write across Canada.

Reading Recovery gives Corporate partners the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Canadian children, to partner with an organization that has an excellent reputation for delivering real results, and to work with an organization that many employees will relate to — one that believes that teaching kids to read and write is both a benefit to the individual child and to society as a whole.
