Brenda Stein Dzaldov – Brenda’s thirty years of experience as classroom teacher, Reading Recovery teacher, literacy consultant, teacher educator and school administrator in both public and private schools in Ontario has made her passionate about the teaching-learning process and the foundational understandings that impact true learning. Brenda completed her undergraduate and graduate education at the University of Toronto, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Western Ontario. Brenda received her PhD from the University of Toronto in 2012. Her research interests are in literacy pedagogies and multiliteracies. Brenda is currently an instructor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. Brenda teaches courses in Educational Psychology, Child and Adolescent Development, Teaching and Learning in Literacy and Special Education and Mental Health.
